Piercing FAQ's

DO I NEED PHOTO ID TO GET A PIERCING?

Yes. If you're under 18, you might also need consent from a parent or legal guardian.

HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO GET A PIERCING?

Under 16

You need consent from your parent / guardian. They must come with you and bring photo ID. We have minimum age requirements on all of our piercings, but please make contact with the store should you wish to know more.

16 - 18

  • Standard piercings only - you need photo ID. No nipples or facial dermals, even if you have consent.

Over 18

  • You don't need consent - Just bring Government photo ID.
  • You must be over 18 to get nipple piercings or facial dermals.

WHAT FORMS OF ID DO YOU ACCEPT?

We accept photo ID such as drivers license, Passport or Key Pass as legal forms of ID for both parties.
We will also accept a Medicare card as ID for a parent or legal guardian.

HOW DO YOU STERILISE YOUR TATTOO AND PIERCING EQUIPMENT AND BODY JEWELLERY?

We use autoclave sterilisers. These use steam and pressure to kill germs.
We also use new needles for each piercing, and new needles or cartridges for each tattoo - these are medically sterilised and sealed, then disposed of immediately after. Most other tattoo equipment is single use and is also disposed of after the tattoo.

DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT?

Walk-in's are always welcome! Piercings are operational 7 days a week, and run up until half an hour before our advertised closing time.

DO YOU USE PIERCING GUNS?

We NEVER use piercing guns and will only ever pierce with needles.
Piercing guns cannot be sterilised properly between clients which can lead to infections.

HOW LONG DO I NEED TO WAIT BEFORE I CAN CHANGE MY JEWELLERY?

You should wait until your piercing has completely healed before you change your jewellery.
You may put yourself at risk of infection or rejection if you don't wait. Healing time depends on what type of piercing you get.
Speak to the piercer about your specific piercing as healing times may be different.

WHAT IS YOUR BODY JEWELLERY MADE OF?

We have a wide range of body jewellery in different materials, for use after your piercing has healed.
For freshly done piercings, we use 316L surgical steel (available in a range of colours).
Its composition and the treatment process it endures states that it is great for new piercings in 99.97% of the population.

As an option, we also offer solid Titanium for an additional fee.

CAN I BRING MY OWN JEWELLERY TO GET PIERCED WITH?

Unfortunately not, we will only pierce with our own jewellery.

CAN YOU CHANGE MY JEWELLERY FOR ME?

Sure can! It costs nothing when you purchase jewellery from us on the day, however there is a $5 fee any other time.

I'M WORRIED ABOUT MY PIERCING. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Make sure you’re following the aftercare instructions your piercer gave you.
Some redness and swelling is expected for certain piercings as your piercer would have explained.
If you think you’re experiencing too much redness or swelling or you’re just not sure, feel free to call or come in and see us. It never hurts to ask a question, especially if you are concerned there is something wrong with your piercing.

MY QUESTION HASN'T BEEN ANSWERED. CAN YOU HELP?

Yes we can. Please call, message or come in and see us when you are next available and we will see what we can do.
